Meet our team

Blocksize Law is a boutique law firm of experienced professionals providing high quality, comprehensive and cost-effective legal services to businesses and individuals in the Web3 sector. Crucially, we combine legal expertise with a sensitivity to the unique dynamics of the industry, gained through extensive personal experience and in-house work within the space.

We offer expert guidance to crypto and digital asset businesses, as well as wider technology companies, from those with no more than an initial concept, through to start-ups and larger, more established players.

Our clients recognise the importance of expert legal advice and effective risk management, and we are here to provide support with both discrete issues and ongoing guidance, regardless of business objectives, without charging prohibitively expensive fees.

In addition to their individual careers, Kirstin and Anna have worked as the in-house legal team at Crypto Saving Expert for the last two and a half years. Together, they have developed and implemented a roadmap to achieve regulatory compliance and develop robust legal procedures for the proper protection of the company's commercial interests. The role has been wide and varied including preparation for the launch of a centralised exchange, an equity raise and a company migration. They have also been involved in the implementation of the business' GDPR regime, liability and risk management strategy, internal and external contractual relationships and intellectual property protection. With this unparalleled insight, Kirstin and Anna are uniquely positioned to to provide clients with exceptional solutions, tailored to meet clients' specific needs.

Anna Seccombe

Co-founder

Anna qualified as a private client lawyer after training at a top London law firm, before leaving that firm to pursue her interest in crypto legal services. During her training she worked on high value international matters and gained experience in a range of areas aside from her private client specialism, including corporate and commercial services. Anna has since worked in house for crypto start ups and crypto entrepreneurs. Her experience in and out of the Web3 space includes negotiating investment and sports sponsorship deals, developing intellectual property protection measures, corporate governance, M&A, regulatory compliance, property transactions, tax analysis, wealth management and dispute resolution.

Anna is a curious, motivated person with an academic background who loves to develop her knowledge and is passionate about crypto, having been involved in the industry in various capacities since 2017. Anna is also a fluent Russian speaker and a Dubai resident with a network of contacts in the UAE.

Kirstin and Anna are both qualified under the laws of England and Wales. Kirstin is based in the UK and Anna is resident in Dubai.

Although Kirstin and Anna have an English law background, they are able to prepare Legal Opinions on international matters, including for example securities legislation, together with other high level advice on matters arising from various jurisdictions.

Furthermore, irrespective of your business’ domicile of origin, there are bodies of law, such as GDPR and financial promotions regulations which apply universally.

In many cases, regardless of a project’s geographical location, its contractual documentation, including terms and conditions, service agreements, founders’ agreements and NDAs will be governed by the laws of England and Wales. You can also choose to use English law in your contracts due to its international status, predictability and commerciality. Kirstin and Anna are equipped to advise on all such matters.
